Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to join our team in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The ideal candidate must be proficient in French and will manage payables, receivables, expenses, and salaries while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
2. Prepare and process monthly salary payments in compliance with company policies and local labor regulations.
3. Monitor company expenses, ensuring cost control and adherence to budgets.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with accounting standards.
5. Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and other financial records.
6. Prepare periodic financial reports and submit them to the head office.
7. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in audits when required.
8. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions.
9. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. At least three (3) years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or steel industry.
3. Proficiency in French (both written and spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of English is an added advantage.
4. Applicants must be willing to relocate.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
7. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
8. High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
WORKING HOURS: MONDAY – SATURDAY
