Job Description
We are seeking a competent and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our agricultural waste carbonization plant in Abura, Ahanta West. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, supervising staff, ensuring efficient operation of plant machinery, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee and manage daily plant operations and workforce
2. Supervise the production of charcoal from agricultural waste
3. Ensure efficient operation of furnace, dryer, and related equipment
4. Monitor production processes to meet output targets and quality standards
5. Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant
6. Coordinate routine maintenance and basic repairs of machinery
7. Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly
8. Train, guide, and supervise plant staff to improve productivity
9. Maintain records of production, maintenance, and performance
REQUIREMENTS
1. Proven experience in factory or plant operations (carbonization experience is an advantage)
2. Mechanical or technical background strongly preferred
3. Hands-on experience with kiln, furnace, or similar industrial equipment
4. Strong leadership and team management skills
5. Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
6. Ability to meet production targets
7. Basic knowledge of safety and operational standards in an industrial setting.
